Chefs Andrew McLeod of Avenue M and James Beard Semifinalist, Jon Buck formerly of Husk Greenville became fast friends over their commonalities in innovative cooking techniques and a shared passion for sustainability. Their friendships with other local chefs and farms motivated their brainstorming for the collaborative Sunday Supper Series. Consisting of four prix fixe dinners, each with its own bespoke menu and other local chef collaborations soon to be announced, theSunday Supper Series menus are inspired by seasonality and a sense of community in support of the local restaurant industry.

“Since Jon Buck and I started conceptualizing this dinner, our goal has been to highlight the people and relationships behind the dishes we’re putting together,” said Andrew McLeod, Executive Chef of Avenue M. “Now more than ever it’s important to support each other as much as we can. That’s why we’re sourcing 100% of our produce from local farms and collaborating with other like-minded local chefs.”

The first dinner, on October 25, is five courses with a nod to Oktoberfest and flavors of fall with autumn produce all sourced from local farms, The Culinary Gardener and Broken Oak Organics.The full menu, that includes elevated Oktoberfest elements like spätzle and lacto-fermented sauerkraut, is soon to be released with menu-specific beverages that Chefs Andrew McLeod and Jon Buck along with Sommelier Ralph Lonow have created.
