Mike got his start at 667 Prime Steakhouse in Upstate New York where he is originally from. He spent two years rising from prep cook to Sous Chef at Prime. He then relocated to Greenville SC to open Husk Greenville as Junior Sous Chef. He then went on to work at Restaurant 17 at Hotel Domestique in Greenville as well. Mike joined the Avenue M team in June 2020. Outside of work Mike enjoys spending quality time with his dog and girlfriend, watching Bruins hockey and exploring the natural beauty of Western North Carolina.
Mike has a natural knack for quality produce selection so he takes the lead on a lot of our market runs. He’s also skilled at vinegar making and fermentation which are big parts of what he does for us at Avenue M.
